General Info

What does visible mean?

Visibility allows one to add pages/images to Ladybug without making them immediately visible on a website. If visibility is unchecked, the item will not show up on your website. Once checked, it will.

Visibility is helpful when, for example:

  • You are having a timed art sale. You might want to add your images a day before and then set them all as visible at a certain time.
  • You want to highlight your new art while still keeping a record of past work.
  • You are currently sold out of an item and don’t want it to show up on your site until you are ready to sell again.
  • You want to work on a draft of a page before it is live on your website.

How do I sign up for a PayPal business account?

In order to sell items on your website, you’ll need to set-up a PayPal business account. You are, however, able to send money through PayPal without having a PayPal account, which is great news for people who are going to be buying from you!

To open a Business Account:

  1. Go to PayPal and click Sign Up.
  2. Select the Business Account option and click Continue.
  3. Enter your information.

You will also want to add a verified bank account to your account. To Add a Bank Account:

  1. Choose My AccountProfile.
  2. Under the Financial Information heading, pick Bank Accounts.
  3. Type in your account and routing number (you will find this on one of your checks).
  4. Click Add Bank Account when you are finished.
  5. Once you have added an account, PayPal will make two small deposits to your account. When you receive your bank statement, return to PayPal and confirm your account by typing in the amounts of the two deposits.

If you already have a personal account, you may be wondering why you’d want to change. There are certain limitations to personal accounts. Namely, you cannot receive payments funded by credit cards and you are limited to receiving $1,000 in payments per month.

Here is how you upgrade your existing account:

  1. Log into your PayPal Personal account.
  2. Choose Upgrade Account.
  3. On the Choose a Name to Do Business page, select Business as your account type.

When you are finished, your account will immediately be able to receive payments by credit card.

A note: If you change your mind about upgrading, you are only able to downgrade your account once. If you think you will want to use both a personal and business account, it is best to simply open two separate accounts.

  8. Click add image.
  9. Add as many images as you want, delete images, change text, etc. When you are finished, be sure to click the red link at the top of the page that says: Save Website Changes.

Why can't I see the changed I just made to my Flash website?
